Sending domains

Verify your domain with SPF, DKIM and DMARC so your emails reach the inbox.

1 min read

Mailbox providers trust mail that proves it really comes from you. Verifying a domain does exactly that.

Add the domain

Go to Settings → Sending domains, enter the domain you send from (for example yourbrand.com or a subdomain like mail.yourbrand.com) and save. We generate the DNS records for it.

Publish the records

Copy each record into your DNS provider:

Record Why it matters
SPF (TXT) Lists the servers allowed to send for your domain
DKIM (TXT or CNAME) Signs every email so receivers can check it was not altered
Return-path (CNAME) Handles bounces on your own domain
DMARC (TXT) Tells receivers what to do with mail that fails the checks

DNS changes can take from a few minutes to a few hours to appear. Press Check to verify; we also re-check every hour.

Tips

  • A subdomain such as mail.yourbrand.com keeps marketing reputation separate from your company mail.
  • Start with p=none in DMARC, watch the reports, then move to quarantine.
  • New domains build reputation over time. Send to your most engaged contacts first and grow volume gradually.
